(Bloomberg) -- Brazil's trade surplus widened more than economists expected in October.

• Trade surplus widened to $6.964b (estimate +$6.200b) in October from revised +$2.942b in September, according to the Brazil Trade Ministry
  • Estimates range +$3.603b to +$6.300b, 15 economists
• Exports rose to $31.975b (estimate $31.900b) from revised $30.495b in September
  • Estimates range $24.839b to $32.100b, 6 economists
• Imports fell to $25.011b (estimate $25.750b) from revised $27.553b in September
